Abiding in His Love

“There is no more lovely, friendly or charming relationship, communion or company, than a good marriage.” Martin Luther

Year three – Increased Joys

Today is already May 21. Happy Anniversary to us. I don’t know if anyone reads my posts… If no one reads them at least I spend a moment to reminiscing on all the blessings that God has bestowed upon us as family.

One of the greatest blessings in our family was and is Isaiah. He has brought so much joy in our lives. He has expanded our love and has though us many important lessons.

I have learned a lot about my relationship with God during this year! I have learned to depend on Him like my child depends on me. I have learned about the joy that a parent feels when he/she sees the child finding peace in his/her arms. Same way, I believe that God is delighted when we, as His children come and find peace in His arms. O how much more our heavenly Father loves us, how much more He enjoys our presence… not because HE is lonely but because HE created us, and He loved us with such an extravagant love.

Thank you dear Lord for this great reminder of your enduring love!

I have learned about the pain that a parent feels when His child in in pain… I believe that mothers are more sensitive to the child’s maybe because they spend more time with the child… our Lord Jesus was always moved with compassion for the crowds that were lost … and in pain, in suffering… He has a father’s heart and He is right there with us in the valleys.

Thank you Lord for your presence every step of the way!

I have learned of the joy that a parent feels when his child brows in obedience and wisdom. I watch Isaiah growing to the stage when he knows right from wrong. He is so happy when he sees me praise him for learning to eat with a spoon… or for putting the ball in it’s place or for not playing with the TV. Same way God finds joy when we grow in wisdom and in obedience to Him.

Dear Lord, give me grace and wisdom to live everyday to your glory!

I have learned that even though sometimes Isaiah is not where I want him to be, or he does not do what I want him to do… my love is still the same.

I have learned that no matter how rough the night or the day was, my love for him does not change – it grows.

I have learned of the joy that fills a parent’s heart when the child does the smallest things for the first time… first smile, first sit up, first stand up, first step, first mami, first tati… first “please – peezz) and so many others … first fall, first scar etc… same way God rejoice in our baby steps!

I have learned that Isaiah does not have to serve me in order to win my love… same way with God…. HE LOVES US even though many times we fail Him, He cares for us even though many times we forget to spend time with him… He shows His infinite mercy (hesed – right Chris?) no matter how well we score…

I have learned that CHILDREN are not in the way of parents to live their life to it’s fullness. One lady told me a few months ago that she feels like she wastes her life with raising children… I believe from the bottom of my heart that she waists her life if she does not want to have children)…

I have learned that I can always depend on God’s love, I have learned that He is always there for me when I call Him, I have learned that He always listens even though sometimes He is quiet! I have learned that I have a great Father in Heaven!

I have learned that it is a great honor to be a parent but also a great responsibility.

Thank you Lord for entrusting Isaiah to us. May Your Name be glorified through our lives, may Isaiah always bring you glory!

YES I must say, some things change but not in bad but in good! We still went out… we still traveled… we still served the Lord… we still grew even more in our love for each other and for ISAIAH.

I asked Chris how was this year and he said “YOBO_BOBO” … that means NOT A BORRING MOMENT WITH ME AND ISAIAH.

We are so grateful to God for this wonderful year, for God’s servant heart, for His answered prayers, for His sufficient grace for each day, for all the joy and peace and everlasting love bestowed upon us.

I will post some pictures from this past year with a short note for each one.
